Hungry hen

Today we read the activity of how to make a hungry hen.  (well it was actually a rooster because it has a comb).

We made a hungry hen out of plates, feathers, coloured paper, a stapler, glue and felts.

Liam said it was fun to make the hen.  Eli said it was excellent, Luke wanted to know how to cut out the comb, it was really hard.  Bayden thought it was great.

Rotational symmetry

WAL what rotational symmetry is.

We created colourful shapes that were rotated 4 times.

A shape has rotational symmetry when it can be rotated and it still looks the same. The order of rotational symmetry of a shape is the number of times it can be rotated around a full circle and still look the same.

my speech

Without a doubt my elders have taught me to do a huge amount of cool things.  What I mean by elders is….. My Dad.  Because my Dad has taught me heaps.

Dad taught me to fix the washing machine because the water pipe had fallen out. It did take a little while to fix it but we got it in the end. Have you ever fixed one?

My Dad taught me to reload a gun because when I turned 5 I got a gun for my Birthday. It was only a Slug gun but  at least I got one.  Do you have one?

My Dad taught me to drive a boat because when we got our  50 Horsepower boat. Dad let me drive waylaid. If you don’t no waylaid that’s what we call our boat.

My Dad taught me to drive a lawn mower  because sometimes I  mow the lawn. I Actually Love  it. Do you  drive a lawn mower?

My Dad taught me to Drive  a digger because sometimes he picks up dirt and stone from his friend please. The first time I did drive a digger was when I was 4 years old. It was  fun.

It is important to learn from your cause when you are older you know how to do things.  You won't be able to fix things or anything like that.
